Re: Disappointed but not surprised
I’ve always found the non provision of toilet facilities in Spain to be somewhat of an anathema. Many years ago the only facilities available in Torrevieja were the disgusting toilets in the market or round the back of the esplanade stalls which meant that any attempt to buy anything there was ...

Re: Italy have the guts to do what the UK cannot
The two schemes are not the same. The Italians are sending the immigrants to Albania to be processed. If they are granted asylum they are returned to Italy. Give the HR do gooders and lawyers time and they will soon be on the case.

Re: EU biometric Entry/Exit ????
Since they have tripled the size of postage stamps, that might now be possible. Since your last comment seemed to be a debating point, what economic qualifications or acumen have you so that the information can be set at the right level?

Re: Right wing bloody nose.
Interesting that the Labour vote hardly changed but the Conservative vote went down by nearly 22%. Some of that can be down to the arrival of Reform but very little even though they received almost as many votes as the Lib Dem’s ( but considerably less seats). It won’t be long before the true ...

Re: D-Day , well that says it all
I’m afraid these ‘rags’ have tried to make an issue of this when most people here can’t see a problem. The usual ‘ a veteran said’ who probably existed in the mind of the so called reporter as no-one has come forward, the summit that didn’t exist and the President of the US due for his afternoon nap ...

As for the McCanns, they left a child alone, Just to be slightly pedantic, they left three children on their own, two of them more at risk than Maddie as they were so young.

Re: Why doesn't this happen in the UK ?

The British Government made a decision some years ago that the cost of U.K. train travel should be borne by those who use it and the subsidies have been moving in this direction for some time. In Spain everyone pays for it whether they use it or not. Last ...

Re: Kate
Not wishing to be a pedant but her name is Catherine and she is the Princess of Wales. Why can’t the media (and others) stop pretending to be so matey and treat her with respect? They have been hounding her for weeks.

Re: Interesting Spanish Article re current Royal Family illnesses
Chrohn’s disease seems the most plausible.nthevrest of the article appears to be someone smoking illegal substances. Where would you go in Spain to shoot game which hasn’t already been caught on sticky glue strings or drift netted - the Queen didn’t come to Spain by the way.
